With the development and application of the microwave communication system,precision guided technologies and electronic countermeasure etc, the research on dielectric materials such as circuit dielectric substrate,antenna unit dielectric substrate and radome are paid more and more attention. With frequencies arising,close resonators have limitations on lowing quality factor,reducing the size of resonator and modes denseness etc. Within microwave frequencies, electromagnetism open resonator technologies are widely used in electrical dielectric parameter measurement of low loss dielectric material.Quasi-optical resonators which have advantages on high quality factor,using easy and sample placed easy etc can accomplish electrical dielectric parameter measurement of dielectric material effectively. The task will be completed by designing 3mm quasi-optical resonator to get small waist radius of Gaussian beam existing in quasi-optical resonators. The 3mm quasi-optical resonator test system is built and the test soft is written in VC++ language. We test on dielectric plates, then realize sweep test of large-area sample by adjusting move set to get dielectrical parameter distribution.The electromagnetic field and energy distribution of Gaussian beam existing in quasi-optical resonator are analyzed and simulated Using matlab , the resonant frequency and waist radius of the resonator are calculated ,and design the 3mm quasi-optical resonator according to resonant frequency and waist radius. By using fixing resonator length,the complex permittivity calculate formulas are induced. The test system has been designed by using terminal reflected resonant loop. Using the autotest system and the automatic test software, the samples are tested, the complex permittivity of the samples are obtained. The test method of sample is analyzed. The measurement errors are analyzed in the paper. The error sources are defined according to the measurement theory, with the analysis of error theory, the measurement errors are obtained.The measurement range and measurement errors of the test system are as follows:Frequency: 93~106 GHz...
