As a new type of retaining structure, the anchor anti-sliding pile was applied to engineering from 1980s. By contrast with the common cantilever anti-sliding pile, The anchor anti-sliding pile can reduce the cross section of the pile, shorten its length, So it is an economy and quickly way. In addition, as the anchor cable with huge tensile force is set at the top of the anti-sliding pile, the pile's internal force is improved greatly. The pile's internal force and the deformation are reduced obviously. The ability of anti-sliding is increased. Therefore, the anchor anti-sliding pile has become an important retaining structure in landslide engineering. More and more experts pay attention to it. Advantages as the method has, its computation method and design theory lagged with the engineering practices greatly.Firstly, the paper introduces the optimal design of engineering structure's development process and its application in civil engineering briefly. And then the paper epitomizes several usual methods used in the anchor anti-sliding pile's design. Under the circumstances of considering the anchor cable and pile's compatibility deformation, the paper emphasizes in introducing the subgrade reaction coefficient method with lateral deformation restraint of the prestressed anchor pile. This method considers the compatibility deformation condition of the anchor cable and the pile, so it is more reasonable in theory.Combining with the anchor anti-sliding pile's model test, according to the analysis of the test data, some force distribution rules of the anchor anti-sliding pile are gained. These have great meaning to practical project's design.Guided by the optimal design of engineering structure theory, the optimal design of the anchor anti-sliding pile is studied. Adopting the complex method in the mathematical programming method, selecting the material cost as object function, using the anti-sliding pile's anchorage depth, the pile's longitudinal reinforcement area, the anchor's anchorage length and the diameter as design variables, the optimal method of the anchor anti-sliding pile is got and the...
