With the rapid development of market economy, and the great increacement of the highway construction, the equipments for constructing asphalt road have been supporting mechanization, and the construction techniques is becoming better, the use of road surface formation for the evaluation is an important indicator of performance. It has been improving and upgrading asphalt road construction as a key technology and the road sector has been concern, attention and study.This text is on the basis of drawing lessons from the domestic and international smoothness and measuring current situation , through to a large number of investigations that the roughness of road surface of expressway bitumen built has been carried on in recent years of Shanxi, combine the practical experience in the bitumen concrete road surface of the superhighway has constructed for many years, have analyzed the. main influence factor of the roughness, have put forward construction craft ,etc. some concrete control measures of roughness of road surface of rolling and paving etc. of controlling the roughness , improvement at the basic level strictly, in order to improve the roughness of road surface of bitumen , guarantee the project quality of road surface , improve the serviceability of the road. This text still adopts least square method to go out of the linear relation between index IRI of the roughness of road surface of expressway bitumen of Shanxi and s This research has sure meaning of consulting in the application of roughness of the expressway of Shanxi, have certain reference function to the other areas of our country at the same time.
