The core steel tube applied to Concrete Filled Square Steel Tubular column and reinforced concrete beam middle joint , that is discontinuous joint is designed on the base of Concrete Filled Square Steel Tubular column and reinforced concrete beam joints at present. The characters of this joint is that the core steel tube connects the outer square steel tube up and down which is discontinuous in the joint Zone. While ring and vertical steel bars are close packed in the joint zone and the longitudinal steel bar of the RC beam can go through the joint zone. The core steel tube joint makes beam and concrete in the joint zone become one, and moment, shear and axial compression can be carried in a good condition.In this article, simulating the column-beam joint in Concrete Filled Square Steel Tubular frame structure, create analysis model used design method of CFST structure at present., designed a scaled joint model of Concrete Filled Square Steel Tubular and a nonlinear finite element method is used to analysis this joint with ANSYS program and studies the feasibility and mechanical properties of it.1. Studying the problem of capacity of Concrete Filled Square Steel Tubular column in contrast with criterion of all countries before simulated analysis this joint. The structural pattern of the core steel tube joint is designed after choose the formula of calculating the capacity of Concrete Filled Square Steel Tubular column and joint.2.Carrying out simulated analysis behavior of joint when monotonic loading on the top surface of column and beam, the stress distribution of concrete and steel tube and steel bar in joint zone and Concrete Filled Square Steel Tubular column were obtained.3. The results base on destroy process and failure mode of this joint model indicate that the finally destruct of model is caused by the Concrete Filled Square Steel Tubular column and the new type joint has good mechanical properties, meets the demands of seismic design, that is strong column, weak beam, stronger joint.4. There is no influence to the continuity of the Concrete Filled Square Steel Tubular column since the existence of core steel tube, ring and vertical steel bars, and the condition of joint is greatly improved.
