On the basis of investigation, the destruction mechanics of the high slope of loess in Jinbian was discussed.Firstly, the geological structure of high slope of loess was analyzed. The study indicates the structure model of high slope of loess can be classified into new and old loess combined, and loess and other geological combined; the joints of high slope of loess can be divided into vertical joints, weathered joints, slump joints and collapsibility joints; the structure of high slope of loess can be divided into laminar structure, slope toe muddy weak bed and discontinuous structural plane.Secondly, the deformation and destruction of high slope of loess and influencing factor were discussed. The paper puts forward that the deformation and destruction includes collapse, slump, slope surface scouring, collapsibility deformation and mudflow; the influencing factors are internal factors and external factors, the internal factors includes topography and geomorpholohy, stata, geologic structure and vegetation, and the external factors includes precipitation, surface water and groundwater, weathering and unloading effect, and human activities.Thirdly, from the influencing factors of the precipitation and load, the paper studies the deformation and destruction mechanics. Precipitation destruct the slope body through lowering the soil body shearing strength, adding volume weight and growing the pore water pressure; and centralized precipitation formed the saturated zone; the saturated loess liquation will destruct the high slope of loess. By using the ANSYS studies the deformation and destruction of high slope of loess under loading effect, load redistributes the stress on the slope body and stress concentrated in the toe. The slope body sedimentation is 0.6 meter under load effect, which is the main induction factor of deformation and destruction of slope body.At last, applying the grey associative analysis to optimal option the protective of slope, the author selects the best scheme the discharge+unload+soil replacement and compaction+sheet-pile groins bolt barricade+press the toe.
