At present, magnetorheological (MR) fluid is lucubrated as a new smart material , the MR damping devices has ascendant performance in projiects. MR damper play an important role in a wide variety of industry applications. In this paper we study two MR dampers. Include their mathematical model, magneto FEM model and CFD model, phenomenological model.(1) This thesis introduces MR technology and properities of MR fluid. Then giving a broad overview of MR devices that are developed and progress report of international and Chinese academe, also signification and task of this paper;(2) In this chapter we found a mathematical model using theory of fluid mechanics. Explaining the process in detail. Educed damping force vs velocity by vary frequency and fluid behavior factor. Then Analysis the data;(3) Using FEM module of Ansys software analysis the magneto path with a MR damper. Then calculate the damping force by CFD module of Ansys . We can obtain data by Changing the size parameters of the damper. Analysis these data we can get the relationships of force and size parameters;(4) Some phenomenological models of MR damper which based on experimental data are introduced and compared. We found a new phenomenological model based on experimental data . Then identify the unknown parameters in virtue of the results. Make comparisons with experimental data and predicted data, two curves are approximately.(5) Summarize the works and innovations of this paper. Then give prospects of future study.
