High firing frequency is one of the main methods to increase the hit probability, the rapid burst rifle studied in this dissertation is the exploration of the new concept and new configuration of automatic weapon, including a rapid burst ammunition model whose firing is controlled in electronic style and the principium model of automatic weapon which is fit for the rapid burst ammunition. The dynamical theory foundation for the automatic weapon research can be provided by the simulation and analysis of the firing dynamics of the rapid burst rifle.Focus on the configuration and the practical trait of the automatic system, the three-dimensional models of the rapid burst rifle and the man-weapon system are established sequentially by the CAD software Pro/E .The three-dimensional models are successfully imported to ADAMS software through the special interface MECH/PRO, and then the virtual prototype models are founded by toolbox of ADAMS to apply forces and constraints to the parts of the models. The dynamic simulation of the multi-rigid-body rifle model is carried out under the condition of the single shoot by the low firing frequency, high firing frequency and superhigh firing frequency when the rifle model is fixed on the ground, then the dynamic simulation of the multi-rigid-body man-weapon system is operated under the conditions of single and repeating shoots. From the results of the simulations, the displacements of the gunpoint and other important information are visualized. The research in this paper provides some valuable conclusions and simulation approach for the design of the rapid burst rifle and ammunition, which can effectively reduce the manufacturing periods and cost of the system.
