In industry automatic production, vacuum adsorption technology is widely used as the manipulator. Sometimes, single vacuum generator system is used in production, which has several vacuum pads but only one vacuum generator. Because of the connectedness of the pads' pneumatic circuit, as long as there is air leakage in single vacuum pad will cause the system vacuum degree not to be able to achieve the setting value, and that the system invalidation. it will lead to chaos of the working procedure as workpieces are not able to be adsorbed in time and even cause unexpected accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to study a technical method to solve this problem.Therefore, a flowing differential pressure isolating technique solution is suggested. The invalid vacuum pads can be rapidly detected and then promptly isolated, in this way the other pads' normal vacuum degree may be maintain ,which can promote system security. The main contents in this dissertation are summarized as follows:(l) On the basis of analysis on the characteristic of air leakage in single vacuum pad working with multi-vacuum pads and according to the function requirement of the isolating device, a flowing differential pressure isolating technique principle is suggested for the designed isolating valve. And overall structure of the isolating valve prototype is studied; (2) The mathematics model of the isolating valve prototype is built. Based on the mathematics model, dynamic simulation is conducted in the Matlab-Simulink environment, and the simulated results can provide reference for the experiment. (3)The experimental system is constructed to test the mechanism and performance of the prototype.The result shows that the principle, structure of isolating valve proposed are all feasible.
