With the development of information and communication industry, the application of microwave technology become wider and wider. Many problems commomly meeted in microwave are solved by the method of equivalent network, and the parameters of a equivalent network are always obtained by microwave measurement,so microwave measurement plays an imporant role in microwave field and becomes the forerunner of microwave technology. Moreover, the rapid development of MMIC and HMIC brings great challenge to microwave measurement.Design and reseach the integrated measurement system have become a hotspot recently.Main purpuses of the artical are to discuss the theory of microwave multistage frequency conversion ,to specify the technical parameter of a microwave assembly(a multistage frequency convertor),to establish some corresponding measurement system and to analysis the measurment result with the knowledge of uncertainty. work of 3 aspects is chiefly carried out as follows :1. Theoretically deep analysis is made concerning microwave multistage frequency conversion, the synchronous improvement in image rejection ,high dynamics and ultrawidth are also discussed. At the end of chapter 2 ,the composition of a front end of a multistage frequency conversion receiver is gived.2. Technical parameters of a microwave assembly and corresponding measurement devices are detailedly discussed. In order to establish properly testing system, instrument bus such as GPIB and VXI ,and corresponding instrument language such as SCPI are also specified.3. The measurement result and corresponding error factor are gived. The uncertainty of measurement result are discussed and some formal data files are also formed.
