The in the present stage in China the target of load in structural design codes is derived from the 1980's . Now the loads of building have greatly varied according to the 1980's. For example, with the development of living standard, the fitment of residence and renewal of furniture is quite popular. So it is quite necessary to investigate and analysis the status of floor load, and then offer reference for compilation of relational codes.As to the live floor load , in the design of structure, the floor load will be firstly calculated as the distributed load, when the structure is framework, floor load is transferred to framework ,then ,we can calculate the force. Floor load be contained distributed load here, then is transferred to the framework, in actual, floor load is assumed distributed load. We know that the sustained live load on floor have the variability of time and space variability with the time and location change, and therefore the floor load is random field, the load that is transferred to the framework should be the floor load random field.The relatively typical residential construction in Zhengzhou is taken as target in this paper. The representation covered area is 80 square meter, 120 square meter and 160 square meter respectively. The furniture arrangement form, which can represent the plane layout and indoor layout of most homogeneous residential construction, is determined, referring to the furniture arrangement form of large numbers of homogeneous residential construction. According to the investigated data on the weight of furniture on the building floor, investigated by the item group of 'The Residential Building Structure Reliability Technology in the Central Plains Region- Loads and Resistances Survey and Statistics ', which is a sub item of China's 'The Tenth Five' science and technology key problems item about 'Residential Building Structure System and Engineering Quality Insure Critical Technology', and applying engineering analysis software, the calculating model of reinforced concrete floor slab and formed steel beam is established. According to the plane layout and indoor layout of the floor and the statistic parameter of the weight of each furniture, the effect on frame beam, applied by durable floor load, is calculated. Based on this, the durably live floor load, which is distributed randomly, is transformed into uniformly distributed load, by the principle of equivalency of deformation of floor slab and maximum bending moment of story beam.As to temporary live load, because it disperse greatly, in this paper statistic and aposteriori data by task team is consult. According to the final mean value and variance of floor load (durability live load and temporary live load's combination), referring to Design Standard of Architecture Structure, standard value of live load is ciphered out.
