According to the research of static state parameter and structure measure in bridge seismic ability, which is the sub project of the research of bridge seismic ability and bearing capacity, one of the national transportation development scientific projects. This paper found that to medium and small bridge in the western regions, its earthquake damage mostly is inactivation of its supporting and connecting component, which brings on the falling of the girder. But because of the lack of the current seismic ability design criterion of Highway Bridge, there isn't a uniform standard in the bridge detailed component's seismic ability design. This paper analyze the contribution occurred by design parameter of connecting component on medium and small bridge seismic response. And this paper modify the design parameter of expansion joint to satisfy the request of seismic fortify.Calculation models of the girder bridge are proposed with finite methods respectively. Time history analysis is applied to study the effect of sensitive parameters of the bridge type on the dynamic behavior seismic response of continuous beam. For all of calculation, only longitudinal excitation is carried out. Considered the effect of different parameters include height of piers, span length, spans of bridge. The rules of different parameter effect on seismic response of beam are drawn. The comparison is conducted at the same time.Based on a great of amount of numerical analyses, the paper obtains the following conclusions: the lengthwise direction relative displacement of girder terminal vertex increase from adding spans of bridge. At the same time, the lengthwise direction displacement of pier is reduced, requesting more lengthwise direction deflection bearing by support abutment. The shake of girder becomes stronger but less range from adding spans of bridge. At the same time, the lengthwise direction displacement of girder terminal vertex and pier is reduced. But the stronger shake of the request higher distortion ability of support abutment. The substructure plays a more important role in the shake of bridge from adding height of piers. The girder shake range and lengthwise direction displacement is increased. The lengthwise direction relative displacement of girder terminal vertex is reduced.Finally this paper finds the beforehand space in expansion joint and between the girder terminal vertex and back wall bridge at abutment satisfied the bridge seismic...
