Enhanced Packed Sand Handling Interaction Layer Foundation Of The Application And Analysis Of Research

It is a problem for soft foundation improvement to be met frequently and solved reasonably in the highway construction. And it is one of key factors which determine the construction quality, rate of progress and investment. So soft foundation improvement is special important to design and construct in the freeway construction. In addition, constructing freeways along the coastal is needed to research in the frequent earthquake region because earthquake-resist has some particularity. So it is necessary to research in this paper.Based on the field test of soil foundation improvement in Shan-Jie freeway construction in Guangdong province, a new selected method, enhanced sand-well in bags, is used for treating the special foundation, which is a cross-bedding containing soft soils and liquefiable sand layer by selecting a part of freeway and doing experiments. The technology of reinforcement is discussed in this paper.The mechanism of the reinforcement method with enhanced sand-well in bags in cross-bedding foundation is that: enhanced sand-well is one of types of sand-well which is often used to reinforce the soft clay foundation, in the new method, vibration and compaction arises simultaneously in the liquefiable sand layer when the process of soft clay treatment. At the same time, the interspaces of sand-well and compacted sand will filled with the disturbed clay which intension is reduced. So the method has some peculiarity with low-cost and high effect in the treatment of cross-bedding foundation which contains soft clay layer and liquefiable sand layer.The traditional compaction sand pile method isn't fit for this engineering. Compared with it, enhanced sand-well method not only can ensure the construction quality but also can keep the continuity of the vertical drains which clay foundation improvement need in the process of treating with the liquefiable sand layer. According to the practical results of the new method in Shan-Jie freeway, the cost of this method in the treatment of cross-bedding foundation is sixty percent of the cost of compaction sand pile method with the same compaction effect.By a series of test method such as settlement measure, in-situ test, seism wave test, a lot of field test data are acquired in the process of more than one year continue...
