Wheel location fault is one of the higher frequency fault in the automobile running departments, which can cause the unusual tyre abrasion, shaking, floating and sideslip of the direction, which will affect the controlling stability, running safety and tyres' abrasion of the automobile, so wheel location is one of the important contents in the automobile safety detection.because of the parameter matching of the wheel location improperly, especially the matching between_the wheel toe-in and the wheel camber angle improperly, the phenomenon makes the wheel slide to left or right relatively to the ground when the automobile travels in the beeline. Because a lot of factors influence the sideslip detection, therefore, it maybe give rise to the following instance: the sideslip measures have gone beyond the standard while wheel location angle is still in the range of standard; in despite of the wheel sideslip measures accords with the requirement, the phenomena, such as the direction of the front wheel floating and shivering , the unusual abrasion of the tyres, arises. In the course of eliminating the fault, the repairing technicians maybe meet a lot of problems that cannot be settled by the former solutions. Our drivers and repairing technicians have been puzzled by these problems all the while.we have carried out the research about the expert systems of the detection and diagnosis of the automobile wheel sideslip. Combining theory with experiment, as well as referring to the research results about the sideslip from the former correlative fruits, to the wheel location parameters, especially the quantitative relation between the wheel camber angle, the wheel toe-in and the measure of the sideslip have been further researched.According to the theory analysis mentioned above, we have put forward the method by exerting the longitudinal force to the automobile in the detection of sideslip, namely, simulating the air reaction gotten by auto body in the actual running circumstance of the automobile, the purpose is to heighten the driving force of automobile when the automobile travels through the test-bed in the detection of the sideslip, in order to make the wheel location parameter to be more close to the situation when the automobile actually running.Finally, an example has been taken to verify, it proved that , in some degree , the air resistance will bring influence on automobile wheel sideslip with the independent suspension forerunner driving, because it is reliable,...
