The in-station frequency-shift codification and approaching to station frequency-shift to be studied in this thesis are integral parts of train control system. Automatic Train Control system (hereinafter called ATC for short), the core system for controlling train operation, is the elementary assurance of safe and high-efficient train operation. ATC is normally composed of wayside equipment and onboard equipment, and this article gives emphasis to the wayside equipment such as train control center equipment, track circuit, point-type equipment, interface unit, radio communication module, and other equipment regarding installation and commissioning, fault analysis and application expectation analysis for specific engineering construction.The conventional blocking mode of ATC system is detailed in this article. Fixed block mode is commonly applied, and in this mode, the data received by train is just for giving orders to the running train to adjust the speed level when it is going to enter the blocking section. Train control method includes the method of stepwise hierarchy speed control curve and the control method of graded-speed mode curve. The author recognized that track circuit composed of the technology of sensing, transmitting, and controlling is the elementary equipment for modern railway signaling specialty. Track circuit, with functions of sensing and transmitting, is one of the most important and unsubstantial elementary technologies in signaling specialty. With the rapid development of the technologies of modern communication, computer and sensor, the conventional railway signal is now facing the renovation trend towards digitalization. network-based and intelligentization.In this article, the author tells us that how to provide loco signal with continuous data by introducing the evolutive and perfective technology of codification, and by which we can ensure safe and stable running of trains, thus the danger of train rashly advancing to signal will be eliminated.
