Magnetic particle clutch has excellent performance and is convenient for electronic control, it can satisfy complicated working condition of vehicle and has favorable application prospect in the automatic transmission for vehicle. Regard magnetic particle clutch as the research object, respects of analysing , designing and controlling about itsworking mechanism, electromagnetic field etc. are researched, the main research contents include:1. The working mechanism of magnetic particle clutch is deeply analysed and the corresponding magnetism circuit is calculated;2. The mathematics model of the electromagnetic field in magnetic particle clutch is set up, especially the grid dividing and the calculation of magnetic field force are researched, using finite element method the electric magnetic field in magnetic particle clutch is calculated;3. The relevant experiment of magnetic particle clutch performance is carried on to prove the result of calculation, the result indicates that the calculation can already be applied to the project design of the magnetic particle clutch;4. Based on the calculation result, the optimization and improment of its design plan are discussed, then several kinds of new designs are put forward and analysed;5. The hardware and software schemes of the control circuit for magnetic particle clutch are designed according to the control demand of clutch for vehicle.
