The paper is about a new type auto electro-brake. The analysis indicates that the controlling signal will transfer more quickly; the hardware will be simpler; and all the parts will be united more easily in this kind of braking system. First of all, the overall scheme had been built which is using electromagnetic iron power as the braking force, which has been amplified by the force-increasing mechanism to push the friction pads. Secondly, the force-increasing mechanism and electromagnetic body had been designed with the help of some design soft wares, such as Pro/e, ADAMS, ANSYS, etc. Thirdly, the principle prototype machine had been made according to the parameters. In the end, the experiment about electromagnetic force and body temperature had been done within 2 hours. The results were as follows:1) The designed electromagnetic force was less than the theoretical value in the design point, but the largest force could reach and exceed the requirement when the gap between armature and iron base is less than 1.7mm;2) The temperature of the electromagnetic body was about 60℃ that was less than the limit value 130℃ of polyester lead. So, the heat could give out normally. The last experiment was on the whole brake, which showed that the design scheme was proper, and the force-increasing part could run as the expectation. But there were also some problems:1) The machine could not work freely because the friction resistance is a little big;2) The clearance of the system is not appropriate but a bit of large so there is some loss of the effective movement.
