The Management Information System (MIS) is indispensable in large measure to enterprise, also the Database Management System plays a very important role in MIS. For instance, the bad performance of DBMS leads to bad capability of MIS, the security of database is also beginning to concern more and more enterprises. A novel technology of mobile database emerges as the times requires and it is being used widely, which has become a dynamic and exciting topic. The dissertation focused on performance tuning and the security of the DBMS of MIS for an aircraft maintenance company. The aim of studying is to make the DBMS have a good performance. To propose a synchronization and replication framework is also an important part in this dissertation. This dissertation analyses many types of bottleneck of resources, which often appear while using the Oracle Database. Basing on these, it gives a detail description on adjusting parameter of Oracle database and analysis of SQL language, and so on. It introduces the adjusting method of import parameter that affects the system's capability in the parameter file of Oracle database (init ora). Second, the dissertation summarized mechanism and technology applied in this MIS. Identification and certification, access control, encryption techniques, database backing up and restoring, operation log were described briefly. The dissertation designed a new application of database trigger and IP to build a new access control function based on pre-attacked in order to improve database security. There is also a database backing up and restoring plan in the dissertation. At last, the dissertation analyses some critical technology of synchronization and replication in mobile database, and proposes a synchronization and replication framework.
