By analyzing the trains'movement characteristics of URT(Urban Rail Transit) system, we find that the trains'movement of URT system is a typical DEDS(Discrete Event Dynamic System) and the URT system can be thought of as a serial production line ,of which the trains of URT system are thought of as jobs and the stations and sections (or block sections ) of the URT system are thought of as machines .Hence the max algebra approach that has been widely used in the performance analysis of serial production line is applied to build up the linear-system model of trains'movement of URT system which is ordinal structure and a series of studies about URT system based on this model are studied details in the dissertation presented as following :1. The performance of URT system in the equal headway circumstance is analyzed by using periodical input control, which includes controllability, periodical steady state, nonblocking and robustness, and finally we give an illustration to show their application with the data of Beijing metro line 1.2. Based on the max algebra model of URT system, the influence of delay is discussed, concerned with the delay of leaving station occurring for the trains staying time beyond scheme in daily operation. On the basis of making researches on the theory and process of self delay propagation at subsequent stations and related delay propagation of the successor train, the tactic on TOA(Train Operation Adjustment) are presented, which include ATR(Automatic Train Regulation),the adjustment of multi trains parameter, abolishment of planning trains and so on .3. By analyzing the relationship of headway and the delay influence of URT, the approach of setting headway is discussed which is based on the analysis of delay. The study results of this dissertation provide theoretically instruction for the workout of scheme in the planning phase and the TOA in the regulation phase, and it also offers an analytic way to study the URT transportation problems.
