The aeroelastic problem is as old as aircraft. With improvement of aircraft performance, the aeroelastic problem becomes serious, so the aeroelastic analysis becomes more and more important. During aircraft preliminary design, the control effectiveness and flutter speed are concerned. As for aircraft with a high aspect ratio, during the aeroelastic analysis of aircraft preliminary design, with engineering beam modeling, the relation between structural parameters and aeroelastic characteristics is found accurately. If the model is reasonable, the computed results are close to testing results.In this paper, the preliminary aeroelastic characteristics for aircraft with different aspect ratios is analyzed: based upon structure conceptual design, according to structural parameters, a model for the aeroelastic analysis is founded; the features of the variation of longitudinal stability and control derivatives, with respect to dynamic pressure and Mach number are summarized; based upon modes analysis, the effect of rigidity variation, Mach number on aeroelastic characteristics is considered.
