At present, the power supply of most domestic and foreign industrial testing portable magnetic particle testing instrument, regardless of the rotating magnetic field testing instrument, and the magnetic-conjugated magnetic particle testing instrument, or the combination of multi-use magnetic particle testing instrument, usually adopt the~220V single-phase AC power supply. In recent years, some manufacturers have produced some magnetic-conjugated magnetic particle testing instrument which adopt the rechargeable batteries directly, and produce the DC magnetic field. This products adopt the DC power supply directly, so the skin effect is poor, and the sensitivity is low, as a result of that ,they are not used widely .During the practical work, in particular, the locate magnetic field testing, in many occasions, for example : Boiler and Pressure Vessel internal testing, pressure pipe-line testing, and the testing at a high altitude, The~220V AC power supply, is neither safe nor convenient.The rechargeable magnetic particle testing instrument was designed in this article, which including two main parts : program controlled inverter (power supply part), and magnetic particle testing probe. The program-controlled inverter adopt rechargeable batteries as energy, after inverting, converting the frequency, and shifting its phase angle ,then provide power for the magnetic particle testing probe (rotating magnetic field probe, the magnetic-conjugated magnetic particle testing probe and so on, which are yet existed in the market), this device used the microprocessor to identify the probe types automatically, and change the working state automatically according to the probe types, to achieve a multi-purpose instrument. To simplify the circuit and the program slightly, we can produce specialized magnetic particle testing instrument for a certain magnetic particle testing probe. Meanwhile, in the working course, it can change the power level automatically according to the battery voltage, When the power level set automatically can not meet the demand, it can also manually adjust . The working status and battery voltage are displayed with Chinese character on the Liquid Crystal Display. The device can make the A-type specimen indicate clearly, once charge can guarantee working for more than six hours. It makes up for the deficiencies of the existing portable magnetic particle testing instrument.
