Diantou extra-long bridge whose total length is 1291.18 meters is one of the most important projects in Wenfu passenger-only railway. The superstructure of this bridge contains 39 double-track prestressed concrete single box-girders whose span is 32.6 meters. After comprehensive analysis and comparison according to the feasibility, reliability, construction cost and construction duration, the movable scaffold system was chosen for the construction of the girder.This article, which set the engineering background of Diantou extra-long bridge, mainly researched the structure design and construction of the MZ900SB movable scaffold system which is used in the main span that consist of prestressed concrete simple supported box-girder. In order to ensure the safety and quality of the construction and to get the stress and the deformation during the construction, the following aspects have been developed in this paper combining to the Diantou extra-long bridge.1. The development condition of the technology and equipment of the movable scaffold system is summarized. The construction technical characteristics of the movable scaffold system are introduced. According to the need of construction of Diantou extra-long bridge, in this paper, the design conception of the MZ900SB movable scaffold system was put forward, and its structure design was completed.2. Theoretical analysis on MZ900SB movable scaffold system was completed with the finite element program Midas and Algor. The result indicates that the structure has enough design safety.3. The deflection and stress of key sections of MZ900SB movable scaffold system were examined through the precompression experiment in place, and the relations of stress and deformation of the movable scaffold system to the precompression loading was gotten. Comparing the experimental data with the theoretical result, the security of MZ900SB movable scaffold system was validated.4. At last, the construction technique of MZ900SB movable scaffold system which has been used in the Diantou extra-long bridge was introduced in detail.
