This dissertation is based on the WU JIA ZHUANG and the DA XI double-Arch Tunnel projects. By means of numerical calculation and the test results on the spot, the effect of the stability of the structure system and the different construction methods are discussed.The content of this paper is concentrated on:1. By means of numerical analysis, the construction process of three-pilot drift method and single-pilot drift method on geology condition of four-grade and five-grade rock mass was discussed. The characteristics of stress and displacement fields and the rules analysis of the inner forces of support structure are put forward.2. Based on the results on the spot, the effect of single-pilot drift method on geology condition of four-grade was also discussed.3. Based on above content, some rationalization proposal was submitted to construction techniques for large span twin-bore tunnel.4. The influence of system anchoring bolt was special discussed during the process of tunnel construction.
