| Dual Stage Matrix Converter is one kind of direct AC-AC electricpower conversion device. Compared with the AC-DC-AC converter andthe conventional Matrix Converter, it has the advantages of bidirectionalpower flow, sinusoidal input/output current, controllable input powerfactor, zero-current commutation, and simple software/hardware schemes.Dual Stage Matrix Converter-Fed Induction Motor drive can significantlyimprove the performance of AC Variable Speed Drive (VSD) System.Direct Torque Control (DTC), as a control scheme for AC VSDsystem, has developed greatly because of its simple system scheme andstatic and dynamic performance. DTC analyzes the mathematical modelof induction motor under the stator coordinate system. The motor torqueis directly computed and controlled under the static coordinate system.PWM signals are produced by two-level comparators to obtain excellentdynamic performance. This thesis presents a control scheme of DTC-based Dual StageMatrix Converter-Fed Induction Motor Drive. The advantages of highstatic and dynamic performance of DTC, as well as high input powerquality, are combined. Numerical Simulation verifies the feasibility of theproposed control scheme.Based on the theoretical analysis, a experimental platform of DualStage Matrix Converter-Fed Induction Motor Drive is built, whichincludes a industrial PC with A/D card, DSP interface, drive board, mainpower board, and the realization of control software based on x86 CPU.Experiment results verify the correctness of theoretical analysis andnumerical simulation. |
