The developed electronic & computer technology as well as the advancedcontrol theory facilitates the improvement of the performance of weaponsystems. In this dissertation, we will analyze the robust control theory whichis an effective way to enhance the performance of high power weaponservo-system that is impossible to be constructed the accurate mathematicmodel because of its inevitable structured and unstructured uncertainties. It is well known that the robust control theory is one of the powerfultools used to design the controller for the system that is difficult to bedescribed accurately, and obtaining an accurate mathematic model for anartillery servo-system is difficult in practice due to its uncertainties. However, the modern control methods are based on the accurate model. This paperproposes an approach to construct a robust controller of artilleryservo-system based on the mixed H2/Hrobust control theory. In the workingprocess, we first make use of the Linear Matrix Inequality method to get aset of sub-optimal Hcontrollers with the constraints of regional poleplacement. Then we optimize the H2 performance with the application ofGenetic Algorithm. thus, we get amixed H2/Hstate-feedback controller anda output-feedback one, which meet the demands for its strong robustness andsatisfied hydraulic performance. For the purpose of the design of thecontrollers, the robust model identification is also discussed in the paper. Finally, A set of experiments diagrams is presented to demonstrate thefeasibility and validity of the control method proposed in the dissertation.
