The synthesis process of Nickel Hydrazine Aside (NHA) is optimized by controllingthe pH value using the NaAc-HAc buffer solution, two kind of typical products with betterfree-flowing ability are chosen by the granularity test.Then, the structures of the obtained products are studied by Elemental Analysis (EA),Infrared Spectrum (IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).The space configuration and coordination relation of the central metal ion and the ligandsare researched by the binding energy.The TG and DSC analysises provide an understandment of the thermal decompositionof NHA. The results indicate that the prepared NHA undergoes decomposition process intwo steps. At first, the bond Ni-N ruptures and the ligands N2H4 are lost. Secondly, thereaction that gives off N2 takes place. The activation energy and the frequency factor areobtained from DSC experiments. Hence, the Ea and A are calculated using the methods ofOzawa and Kissinger,At last, the detonation velocities of the coordination compound NHA, NHN, GTG,BNCP, DACP, GTN are estimated individually by additive method. The detonationvelocity experiments of NHA, NHN are done to validate the estimated values. Then, thedesign principle of high detonation velocity coordination compound is proposed based onthe relation between the detonation velocity and molecule structure. The explosivetemperatures of NHA, NHN are determined by the Atom Emission Spectral double linesystem. The test instrument is calibrated by LTNR, LA, of which detonation temperaturesare already known.
