The Development Of Tianjin Urban Planning And Management Research

As Tianjin is growing up, the urban planning and management have been improved step by step. As an international harbor city and an economy centre in the north of China, Tianjin must accelerate the development in the new century. The beneficial development of economy and steady progress of society need a scientific planning and management. Now, lots of the experts and scholars have done many relevant researches in some aspect of the urban planning and management. And they have gained some achievements.At first, this paper comments on the development of the urban planning and management and Tianjin's formed process. Based on the summarizers of the theories and experiences written by the predecessors, this article analysis the problems and insufficiency which still exists in the process of Tianjin's urban planning, management and development at present. By referring to the urban planning and management experiences and models in German, Singapore and domestic Hong Kong, Shenzhen, the article analysis the mechanism of management problems, the traffic planning and management problems, the environmental protection and ecological construction problems, the reforms of the old town and city characteristics construction problems. It ascertained and emphasized the content and target of the urban planning and management of Tianjin, and makes a synthesis discussion on some actual problems. For example, the reforms problems of the old town in Tianjin, the strategic east movement problems and the harmonize development problems etc.At last, the paper points out that constructing a harmonious city in Tianjin. It takes a concrete analysis on the ecological environment protection, the public participation, the realization of the city functions, the construction of the centre urban area and the new towns, the precaution and reduction of disasters in the urban planning and management. By synthesized the theory and the reality of Tianjin, we draw the conclusion that Tianjin must definitudes its city's orientation, carries out its city planning, pays attention to its management way, deals with the problems that happened in the urban planning and management, so that the target of urban entire strategic planning of Tianjin will come true.
