<Material Construction Project for Tianjin Special Municipality City> was finished by Liang Sicheng and Zhang Rui in 1930.This material construction project offer an actively guidance in the field of urban construction,and also help the old city finish its transformation.Due to its era identity,like certain historical background,specific society environment and the situation of urban planning,there are lots of differences in this project while comparing with the nowadays urban planning files today,like its title,form,content or its logic.But all these differences are just the very important part for the study of it,it offer an extraordinary example for us who were experiencing a transformation days.So this study focuses on this contrast and tries to find more potential meaning behind it.This study focus on three fields below: First,the study tried to construct the historical background and social environment as the basic scenario for the project.Historical problem and social conflicts,such as new administration division,boundary division between city and county,municipal reform,and urban planning,influence the content of the project.These contents are contained in chapter 2.Secondly,this study analysis the main content of the project under the views of “how to solve the certain urban problem and how to build a modern city”,and this part is in the chapter 3.At last,this study tried to analysis the project in the views of urban modernization and urban management,to explore the experiences for urban planning in nowadays.
