Electron Linac for irradiation processing has wide applications in radiation area. 10MeV, 15-20kW electron linacs for irradiation processing have been developed by U.S.A and Japan in succession. For its strong penetrability, high efficiency, low energy consumption, automatization, and so on, it becomes the mostly developed radiation devices in the world.This dissertation mainly focuses on how to reduce the beam loss in the linac which results in the instability of the high power electron linac for irradiation processing. In virtue of several simulation codes, we have done the beam dynamics design, as well as the design of the RF structure. In order to minish the complexity of microwave measurement and manufacture process, we have also done some calculations of the input and output couplers. After a series of simulations, we propose a scheme of 10MeV,20kW electron linac with a high capture efficiency and high acceleration efficiency. At the same time , we obtain the parameters of the input and output couplers. All these results are well measure up to the requests of our design.
