Three-phase - Single Phase Matrix Converter Used In A Series Resonant Induction Heating Studies

Matrix converter is considered as a new style of "green" converter, and now it is becoming one of the hot research interest in power electronics. Because of its flexible and ample control strategies, matrix converter can be seen as a modulator for input and out waveforms, so it has excellent characteristics in input and output. In this dissertation, 3-1 matrix converter used in series resonant induction heating was brought forward, the main problems in application were deeply investigated and some of application details were also discussed.Firstly, control strategy is the most important part in researching 3-1 matrix converter for driving series resonant load. Based on the basic control strategy, this dissertation raised two ameliorative control strategies which were fit for different frequency. Combined with matlab simulation, these two control strategies were proved to have a great effect for improving the input current waveform and reducing the harmonic. Then an integrated control strategy which has the maximal amplitude current phase modulated was brought forward, and its function in improving the input current waveform was proved better.Secondly, the current commutation of bi-directional switches is also a key technology in application of matrix converter. This dissertation introduced three widely used methods of current commutation and found the four-step voltage current commutation mostly comfortable for this thesis by analyzing the merit and disadvantages of these three methods. Then analyzing the whole process of current commutation during a resonant period, and summarizing all the current commutation stats in the 12 instructional current zones. The danger was analyzed when voltage measurement meets the dead time, and some useful solutions were also presented.Thirdly, the experiment system based on DSP2812 and independent current commutation logic circuit was introduced, the experimental analyses of ameliorative control strategies in low frequency were successfully completed by using this system.At last, a simple summarization about the researches of this thesis was made, all of these researches would give some useful advice for the people carrying on the research, this might be the significance of this thesis.
