In this paper,the identity and discipline of detonator RDX and PETN which was ignited by laser were studied,and in parallel experiment the effect of airtight state,medium,carbon intermingle and impulse width to detonation sensitivity and delay time was researched.The laser ignition processes were recorded by high-speed photography,and the curve of the change to pressure in the process of detonator ignition was measured by PVDF sensor.The result showed that the sensitivity of laser ignition in the airtight state is higher than in the open state,because medium prevents the dissipation of energy in the system.The curve of pressure shows that the sapphire glass which was used as airtight medium is difficult to be breached,so compared with the K9 glass,the obturation of the sapphire glass was better,its pressure is higher and its energy for laser ignition is lower.When other conditions were fixed, nothing but the content of carbon changed,the result showed the igniting sensitivity of the detonator which mixed with carbon is higher than the pure detonator and the delay time is shorter.It is because the carbon can enhance the absorptivity of laser and tone up heat exchange.The ignition energy of RDX/C(99/1) and PETN/C(99/1) ignited by Q-swithed laser was the lowest when the airtight medium was sapphire glass,which was 62.06mJ and 45.11mJ respectively.The delay time of PETN/C(98/2) ignited by Q-swithed laser was the shortest,which was only 30μs when the airtight medium was sapphire glass.One-dimension ignition model containing airtight medium was built,the numerical valve was worked out by finite difference and the effects of different factors to sensitivity of pure detonator ignition were simulated.The outcome of simulation is in accordance with the result from the experiment.The research will help people know more about laser ignite detonator.
