AFVISAR(All Fiber Velocity Interferometer System for Any Reflector) based on the principle of the Doppler effect can measure the velocity for any diffuse reflector without touching, which uses the fiber as the transmission medium. It can measure the the velocity of the free reflectors on the kinds of the sample material under the shock wave, or the process of internal partical between velocity - time .For it is a direct measurement of the speed - time change , and owns hign resolution between speed - time, big dynamic rang, high sensitivity and strong ability resistence, it gradually becomes the primary test technical in the area of research on the shock wave phsics and burst phsics. In the paper, some research has been done about the system's principle, key technical, emulation on computing velocity and relative experiment, including calibrating the velocity. First, after summerizing the test principle and development of the AFVISAR, it described and compared the system principle and characters of some main velocity interferometer. Meanwhile, from two aspects: interference principle and doppler effect, the work principle of the AFVISAR was analyzed in detail. Second ,according to the integrated scheme, the accurate algorithm of the data was studied, and toward the process detail, there were deep research and emulation.Fianlly, test platform was set up to measure the different velocity, the experiments under Hopkinson bar and objects with high speed have been done successfully, the result was successful. Finally.AFVISAR has been standardized in speed.
