Train operation diagram is the basis of railway traffic organization. Its processing belongs to multi-objective optimized issue. As an important work of automation of railway traffic organization, the research concerning the application of computer programming on train diagram has also made a great process. Owing to heavy traffic of high-speed railway and quick rhythm of transportation production, when random disturbance occurs, the adjustment is difficult to make. The newly-built high-speed railway in China will in a long time adopt "common line of high-speed trains and medium-speed trains", which brings about a series of new problems to high-speed railway organization and make the adjustment more complicated and difficult. According to the characteristics of high-speed railway in China, it is necessary to study the theory and method of programming of train diagram in order to instruct the practical works.Take the Jing-Hu Special Passenger Line as an example, the paper has studied and discussed the problem of realizing computer-programming of train diagram under the condition of the common line. The tasks remaining to be completed are: by summarizing research results and problems on both domestic and overseas existing railway and organization of newly-built high-speed railway, combining the operating experience of high-speed railway in foreign countries, and according to the characteristics of train diagram, the author regards the proportion of the diagram and the train's arriving and dispatching time-distribution as an important evaluating index of train diagram. The author has established programming models of train diagram based on following conditions: the structure and the capability of train diagram, operating restriction of train, connection of high-speed railway and existing railway, optimization of the arriving and dispatching line and the adjustment under emergency conditions. The author has also improved the method of initial distributed point and "time space limited window", and established the whole programming system of passenger train diagram. This system, with its finely applicability and flexible man-machine interactive operation, provides a good experimental tool for both existing and newly-built train diagrams. Through the simulation of organization process of high-speed railway under complex conditions, the author has produced train diagrams satisfying interrelated restrictions.
