Engine Cold Test System Research And Development

Engine's manufacture quality and assembly have become the issue,taking seriously by the automotive factory and the engine production enterprise.Online test is very important in the engine plant,which can improve engine's manufacture quality and assembly,and enhance the product overall performance.The mainly method for engine's online examination is the Cold Test and Hot Test.Compared to Hot Test,the test precision is higher,the test time is shorter,and the cost is lower for Cold Test.At present,Cold Test has become the essential requirements of domestic and foreign engine enterprise's online test platform.On the basis of analyzing the technological development situation of Cold Test home and abroad,software design control strategy for Cold Test system was designed,learned of current mature signal testing and analysis technology,Using the highly effective data acquisition equipment,and adapting LabVIEW and Access software development platform, software for the cold test system was developed.The cold test system can accomplish general engine parameter diagnosis.With the PCI-1714,a high speed data gathering card,and the ADAM,a data acquisition module,a system has been developed.This system is a high speed dynamic data gathering system and a stable state real-time data gathering system which can gather the parameter of the Cold Test.Using LabVIEW software analysis toolbox,the data processing module was designed to analyze the acquired data,and take the gathering data to the memory.In contrast with the normal data including the oil pressure,the torque,the intake air pressure and the exhaust pressure,the sampled date can diagnose the engine performances including the lubrication system,the main bearing,the connecting rod bushing,the piston except for the piston curl,the intake air pipe,the exhaust pipe,the cam shaft and so on,and it also can carry on the preliminary judgment to the engine condition. Using the LabSQL software toolbox,communication between LabVIEW and Access was realized,and two data tables were built for the diagnosis result and the characteristic parameter list.Further more,a database management system has been developed,which can realize database operations of record increase,revision,deletion and inquiry.
