With development of medical technology, people have paid more and more attention to Sleep Apnea Syndrome by which human health is hazard and the security of life is threaten. In the field of medical treatment instrument, automatic monitoring and analysis system for this syndrome has become an important research topic. Oxygen saturation(SaO2) is an important guide line to determine whether patient is hypoxia and is one of main items of Sleep Apnea Syndrome Monitoring and Analysis System. The main work of this paper is to study automatic detection technology of oxygen saturation.Based on consulting widely available literature and analyzing the measuring principle of oxygen saturation, oxygen saturation expression was raised. Research on light intensity changing rule with heart throb when optical signal Launched into tissue, and accordingly The entire detection system was designed .Light sources launch driven, light signal reception, signal conditioning, and data acquisition system were designed, and signals for calculating oxygen saturation were acquired by these circuits. On this basis, signal processing algorithms were studied deep. The noises of sampling signals were eliminated by integer coefficients digital filtering algorithm and wavelet analysis technic. Feature points of pulse waves were identified successfully by fuzzy control algorithm. So after these methods and principles, oxygen saturation could be calculated. Finally, the calibration technology for measuring oxygen saturation was discussed preliminarily, and calibration curve of oxygen saturation from 35% to 100% was given. After debugging the system, the desired objective could be achieved basically. However, the current equipment is still in the laboratory stage, in order to further improve the system and improve performance, some recommendations for follow-up research work were raised in the paper.
