| Fiber optical gyroscope north finding device is an inertial device used to measure the geographical north direction. Its great advantage is quickly and accurately implementing all-weather finding without depending on the environment. North -finding devices are widely used in national defence and economy construction.This paper is based on the increasing domestic need of north finding devices. Firstly, it analyzes the theory of north finding devices, then chooses the FOG as the inertia device after compareing various gyros, and designs a data collecting and processing program using MS VC++ 6.0. Secondly, it analyzes and compares various north-finding methods. By different arithmetic means, it derives the optimal initialization angles of each method.The paper analyzes and derives static and dynamic errors affecting north finding precision, the emphases is the parameter of the FOG's capability, and gains the formula of various affecting source and gives some examples. And studies some signal processing methods amid at the characteristic of the output, and bring forward an improving mean point method, all the arithmetic are designed using Matlab 7.0.Finally, i do some experiments; they validate the influence on the directional precision of different north finding ways and different time length. Then it process the data using the signal processing methods, compares north-finding precision before and affer data processing and draws the conclusion that the best signal processing method is using improving mean point method together with smoothing and waveler filtering,the directional precision is promoted. |
