Pipeline scaling exists everywhere in industrial production, which affects production and wastes energy, has becoming a prime reason of scrapped pipelines. Ultrasonic descaling has developed in recent years with the new methods explored in order to improve efficiency of antiscale.Ultrasonic descaling produces the effect of antiscale by using the cavitation, mechanical and heat effects in propagation. The characteristic of ultrasonic descaling is energy-saving, free-unpicked and free-washed, clean, simple and convenient. At present, ultrasonic descaling has been generally accepted and applied in industry such as petroleum and electricity. It has becoming a major technique of power ultrasonic and has been used in the living field closely linked to people.The working condition and the equipment impact the effects of ultrasonic descaling greatly. The lack of comprehensive understanding for flow condition, flow rate, fluid temperature and geometry holds the spread and application of ultrasonic descaling. In this paper, the systematic experiments for ultrasonic descaling in circulating water system and sound chemistry descaling techniques have been done and the physical mechanism is analyzed.There are mainly the following several works in summary:1. The influence of the supersonic wave action time to the ultrasonic descaling effect is studied. The longer the action time is, the more obvious the descaling effect is.2. The influence of the supersonic wave power to the descaling process is studied. Under certain conditions of the ultrasonic generator frequency, the flow temperature and the flow rate, etc., the higher the ultrasonic wave power is, the more ideal the descaling effect is.3. The influence of the ultrasonic wave action frequency to the ultrasonic descaling effect is studied. The lower the frequency is, the better the descaling rate is.4. The influence of the flow temperature to the descaling process is studied. The flow temperature has an optimal action temperature to the descaling effect.5. The influence of the flow rate to the descaling process is studied. The higher the flow rate is, the higher the descaling rate is.6. The influence of the scale remover to the ultrasonic descaling effect in the phonochemical condition is studied. Good descaling effect can be obtained by adding the scale remover.
