Due to energy shortages and environmental pollution becoming increasingly serious, large energy-consuming enterprises such as thermal power plants must to be optimized to save energy and protect enviroment. In this article some optimized methods of energy-saving and emission-reduction are proposed as in following.Fisrt of all, the whole production equipment is divided into there subsystems including combustion system, steam and water system and electrical system, and then optimization of the subsystems is studied. In combustion system, optimal design systems of coal transportation, combustion and ash and slag removal are researched partly and wholely. In flue treatment system, transformation and energy-saving control of dust catcher is introduced, as well as the process control and efficiency control of the desulfurization using ammonia. In the steam cooling system, by raising the vacuum and improving the cooling water system, the optimal control of condenser is achieved. In part of turbine, scaling prevention, jude and dealt with are highlighted. In water circulation system, speed adjustment by frequency control and other methods are introduced in aspect of power-saving, as well as sofeware and hardware design of water supply system in aspect of water-saving.This paper describes the thermal power plant equioment and energy-saving systens on the reduction of the optimum design, both for the overall sysytem design and optimization based on localo ptimization to improve. These methods not only in theory, satisfy the requipments of the equally effective in practice, and be able to meet the thremendous energy reduction. Comparing to the articles in the past whicle focus on single equipment, this paper focus on the all power plant equipment, is more comprehensive and complete. There are a lot of new information good reference for researchers in this area, which is conductive to the further research.
