With modern computer hardware and software technology development, the computer's computing power has been increased. The CAD technology,depending on Computer Aided Design, which was applied in simple numerical analysis, has already been progressive, and has given the birth of software that used in a wide range of Modern Industry Simulation to simulate the reality of mechanics, electromagnetism, thermal, fluid and other complex physical processes, such as ANSYS, HFSS, Designer, ADS, CST, Microwave office and so on. Its algorithms are also different, such as Finite Element Method, Finite Integration Technology, Time-domain Difference Method, Method of Moments and so on. Modern simulation techniques play an enormous role in modern technology and industry.At present, the design of microwave oven still use traditional methods: cavity designing relying on the experience, sample processing and then testing. But it needs revision, retest and then further revision and so on. It will cost long design period, pay more research and design expenditures, and cavity performance is not optimization. HFSS is a good kind of three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software. It uses Finite Element Method: a number of iterative calculations to get a more precise solution, after-treatment, to get the conclusion that we needed. It can significantly reduce product development costs, shorten development cycles and improve product quality through product design and performance improvement design by simulation. Therefore, it is feasible and inevitable for introducing simulation technology into microwave oven industrial.This paper uses HFSS software to set up the microwave system modeling. It sets the suitable material parameters through a large number of simulations contrast with the measured. Testified by a number of microwave platform which designed by Guangdong Midea Microwave Electric Appliance Division, the electromagnetic field distribution in oven cavity and VSWR are made more consistent with the actual. In the article, we improved two microwave ovens by the electromagnetic simulation methods: one solves the problem of microwave focused and the other improves the uniformity of microwave.Therefore, by a large number of test evaluations, it is entirely feasible to use the electromagnetic simulation technology in modern microwave electrical designs. Promoting this technology in microwave energy industry will make technological innovated, make the products with better quality and lower costs, and greatly improve the competitiveness of enterprises.
