As a new type of intelligent damper device, magne- to-rheological(MR) damper has been increasingly widely used in various of vibration suppression. So far, the research on the MR fluid is still far from being the perfect situation. Based on the magneto-rheological damper, this paper researches new analysis methods , including finite element analysis of magnetic field, the solution of the damping force, damping force and velocity curves as well as the genetic algorithm-based parameter identification study.First of all, this paper presents a finite element analysis method to the new magneto-rheological damper circuit. Making use of ANSYS finite element analysis software and analysing the magnetic flux density and distribution of magnetic line of force, this paper will solve the magnetic flux density changes between two diastemata, calculate the magnetic flux density of different damper current input, and map the magnetic flux density curve with the current changes.Establishing a magneto-rheological damper equations of fluid dynamics, this paper proposes two ways to solve the magneto-rheological damper of damping force. The first method is based on the flow equation of one-dimensional parallel plate laminar, to solve the damping force as the piston changes speed under different current. The second method is to calculate the pressure difference of the entrance and exit by the CFD module of ANSYS in the different piston speed circumstances. Then we educe the relationships between the damping force and velocity,and compare with the damping force calculated from the two ways.In this paper, we introduce the principles and application of genetic algorithm detailedly , using MR damper circularly load the experimental data, optimize the process of the parameter identification by the genetic algorithm, and determine the characteristic parameters through the parameter identification. For the model of Bouc-Wen, this paper utilizes genetic algorithms to solve the parameter identification problem. According to the established mathematical model of Bouc-Wen, we select some of the parameters to identify the parameters by Visual C + + as a development platform, and we will run the process and compare and analyze the calculation and experimental results.At last, we can conclude that model parameters with a very small margin of error can be optimized.
