| Masonry-concrete structures are applied widely in public and residential buildings because of easy materials and construction, but there are all kinds of cracks which has a severe impact on the service of the structure. Therefore, it's significant to further investigate the crack mechanism and propose effective measures of controlling the wall cracking.In this paper, the theory of wall cracks is analyzed. The mechanism of crack initiation and crack form induced by uneven settlement and temperature are analyzed. In the end, the wall crack is studied combining two existing masonry-concrete structures given as examples. The reason and characteristic of wall crack are analyzed and relevant measures of dealing with the wall cracks are proposed. The results can be used as a reference for the further service of masonry-concrete structures. |
