The tri-phase AC power is used by military and industry supply system, where a lot of motors work. But the imbalance of power system often leads to the whole system works badly, and the motor even be destroyed and do not work according to the pre-program. So the tri-phase AC power safeguard equipment is demanded in the tri-phase AC power supply system. Nowadays, the lack-phase safeguard for tri-phase AC power system in industrial and civil tri-phase AC power system basically is the simplex functional and large bulk production, which can't satisfy the multifunctional, integration, miniaturization and light- weighted request of aerial system and space system. In 2006, General Armament Department put forward the miniature tri-phase AC power safeguard relay should be developed and demand that this relay could supply the safeguard function when the open phase, in-phase and under voltage of power happened in the avion tri-phase AC power.The development of this project is done in this company. After lots of information are read and researched, the tri-phase AC power safeguard relay discards the traditional thermoelectric protection mode and uses the electrical parameter method to detect parameters. And this relay uses the theory to finish the circuit design, which the residual voltage rises when the imbalance of tri-phase happens. At the same time, the distinct mounting type and package type to realize the miniature of this product. And the circuit design of this product is expatiated and the theoretical analysis of this design has been done.In this paper, the background of this project and the applied value are described; the target, function and composition of the tri-phase AC power safeguard relay is introduced; the design theory ,the circuitous philosophy and analysis, the reliability design, the confirmation of electronic parts, the configuration design and the technology design of this product are expatiated.During the development of this project, the circuit design, the configuration design, the electrical assembly technology design of tri-phase AC power safeguard relay have been done. After one year design debug, the whole project development has achieved the need of development and the expectant purpose. And, this product passes the evaluation test by Beijing San-talking Talking Testing Engineering Academy, which is consigned by Military Electronic Components Contract Management Office of General Armament Department. Finally, this product has passed the design typification organized by Military Electronic Components Type Committee of General Armament Department.
