Aluminized RDX is nonideal explosive, The explosion energy output of aluminized RDX is differ from that of RDX. To investigate the explosion energy output of aluminized RDX, the article carried out with a comparison of the transfiguration effect of the object target by aluminized RDX and the RDX, then analyzed the parameter of deflection, finally contrasted the experimental investigations, the theoretical analysis and the numerical simulations. The main work and results are as follows:(1) The experimental study on the deflection of the square target is conducting. The experiment has been done with the different height of explosive and the different height of target. The results are as follows: with the increase of distance, the action area of detonation products on the surface of target plate is larger and the deflection of target plate is smaller. When the distance was 5 cm , the deflection of target plate under explosive loading of RDX is larger, but it was very close in the two kinds of explosive when the distance was 10 cm.(2) The theoretical study with the expression and the numerical simulation on the large plastic deformation of the target plate were conducted. And it contrasted this result with the conclusion of the experiment. The results are as follows: The theoretical results of the Wangfang semiempirical expression and program simulating results are agreement well with the experimental data. And because of the Aluminum, The effect of the explosion has been strengthened. But when the weight of the explosion is light and the distance is too short, the effect was not obvious. Only when the distance is long enough, we could find the effect easily.
