This research issues comes from the expansion project of Qinshan Phase II research project,Remote Display Unit(RDU) is used on the 13N leak rate measurement channel. RDU is mainly used for nuclear power plant Master Control Room, used to transfer measurement information of Local Processing Unit through the RS485 Bus to the Master Control Room , RDU localed Master Control Room displays in time the information On its screen. RDU through CAN Bus links up with other need of measurement data equipments. The paper introduces the role and function of RDU , Detailing the hardware circuit .For example the controlling circuit, human-machine interface, communication of data storage, AD / DA, alarming circuits, clock circuit, decoding circuitry. The man-machine interface and communication hardware design is the focus part. Software design on the initial design process, the keyboard scanner, interface display program, interrupt services, data processing, SJA1000 to send and receive programming, AD / DA program design. It is the major software programming content Which shows the interface and the communications. Commissioning of the process is conducted in KEIL software. Hardware and software are debugged in the PROTEUS, which greatly accelerated the development progress. In the functional modules certified the case, then the overall circuit design, processing to printing plates, the process will be integrated into the overall module, on the whole circuit debugging. Results show that in laboratory conditions the design meets the requirements. It verifies the design reasonable.
