The Matrix Converter is a direct AC/AC converter with perfect perspective. The objective of phase tracking system can be stated as to track instantaneous phase angle of the fundamental component of the positive sequence voltage. It plays a significant role in the operation of a sort of grid connected power electronic device such as Matrix Converter. The commonly used solution is based on zero crossing detection. However, this kind of traditional method can not get accurate phase information when the grid is in the non-ideal condition.This thesis made comprehensive mathematical analysis for three-phase PLL and simulation is executed as well. Generally, during a grid voltages become distorted this solution can give better fault ride through capability to matrix converter.Furthermore, three-phase PLL to obtain accurate phase information when the grid voltages are distorted which is based on fixed-point DSP controller board has been realized and the performances have been experimentally verified for abnormal grid conditions like unbalance, frequency variation, presence of harmonics, voltage sag and swell, faults, phase jump, line notching. |
