| Nowadays,the teaching experiment used to measure the thickness,density,level of the material is old and heavy,electronic circuits are complex,and the function of experiment is also a single.The activity of radioactive sources of the equipment is large.In this paper,the Author proposes an optimal design about the teaching experiment that is simple,low-cost.The structure of experiment is compact and the function of the experiment is also diversified,the experimental device useμCi-level the radioactive sources 137Cs.This paper firstly introduced the development of the measuring experiment in the domestic and international nuclear instruments,analysis the characteristics and the difficulty of the subject,described the principle of the nuclear level meter,the thickness meter and the density.Next,Carried out a series of theoretical estimates about the count of the particles that fall the detector after a certain activity 137Cs through the different thickness of the tested materials.And the author come to the conclusion that this is Feasible to use 1~5μCi of radioactive sources to measure the level,thickness,density of appropriate thickness and density of the materials.The conclusion also provided an important theoretical basis for the experiment.And then in practice by a large number of experimental data to verify the feasibility of the programmed.Finally,the paper given the design about the structure and size of the equipment.So it realized the comprehensive experimental teaching equipment that can measure the density,thickness,level of the material And the structure is also compact. |
