Firstly it is systemically described the domestic and international quality inspection's development and status quo.The basic knowledge and methods of the most prominent sampling inspection are introduced. Then, by using knowledge of probability theory and mathematical statistics, the parameter model of the sampling inspection by variables,is established with two deferent evaluating indices, i.e. index of nonconforming proportion and index of process average.It is provided a more integrated method for the application of national standard of measure sample. At last,two practical applications are studied and analysed. One application is using the proportion of nonconforming items as the index in mechanical & electrical products.The other is using the process average as the index in procedure products.These results convinced that the inspection of measure sample has better checking effects comparing with the total inspection and the sample inspection by attributes. The sample number is reduced obviously, and more subtle quality imformation can be supplied during the study processes.It should be popularized in a wide field in quality inspectionThe practice shows that the sampilng inspection by variables is the key technology in production quality management. The sample numbers can be shortened greatly, so does the inspection cost. And inspection results can be better guaranteed. The combination of the calculation formula and nationalstandard can provide more complete techniques for the application of the sampling inspection by variables.
