This thesis mainly presents the construction of medium and low voltage power demand side data network, and studies the power demand side applications of remote AMR,IP phone,video surveillance and control,distribution transformer surveillance and measure and so on. At the first beginning, the development and application of Power Line Communication is introduced, then the attenuation and molest characteristic of medium and low voltage distribution network channel are analyzed, followed by a study of the OFDM technical principle,realize way,technical advantages and application feasibility in distribution network with adaptive OFDM. Since then this thesis mainly presents the construction of medium and low voltage Power Line Communication network. By testing the performance of medium and low voltage Power Line Communication network from Nanjing power supply company yunlan road transformer substation to Jiangsu Province High Court substation, the feasibility for high-speed communications throw the medium and low voltage power line is proved. In the last section of this thesis, the power demand side applications of remote AMR,IP phone,video surveillance and control,distribution transformer surveillance and measure are studied. Based on the correlative examinations and compare with usual wireless communication mode, medium and low voltage power line communication is proved to be a steady and low cost communication mode for the power demand side applications.
