In china, many cities have adopted the Linear Induction Motor(LIM) rail transit system, but for the norms of urban rail transit has not yet been established. In this paper No.4 Guangzhou subway were analyzed as case study ,by establishing a dynamic analysis model of LIM train-bridge system, the analysis on the responses of bridge under the action of running train was conducted, combination with experimental analysis, a reasonable formula for determination of the dynamic factors is presented. The main contents of this study are shown follows:1. The development at home and abroad of the urban rail transit and LIM rail transit system are introduced.2. Referring to the dynamic factors, the formulae for determination of these factors recorded in the codes of several countries, as well as the dynamic factors for a bridge in an urban railway transportation system in our country is studied.3. A train, bridge have been considered as an entire system, in which the bridge have been divided into a finite number of beam elements, respectively. The equation of motion for this system has been formulated by means of the principle of total potential energy with stationary value in elastic system dynamics and the "set-in-right-position" rule for formulating matrices, with both the principle and the rule being presented by academician Qingyuan Zeng.4. Based on the platform of MATLAB, an assocatied program was developed for dynamic analysis of coupled, which can use to calculate the vertical dynamic response of the bridge.5. The dynamic factors experiment were carried out on the No.4 Guangzhou subway. The main measured include the lateral displacements, and the dynamic factors.6. Combination with experimental analysis, a reasonable formula for determination of the dynamic factors of urban rail transit is presented.
