The project studied the surface pretreatment of TA2 titanium alloy and its matching toughening primer.TA2 titanium alloy which is modificated,overcome the problem of poor adhension with coatings;the study of its toughening primer which is matching with TA2 titanium alloy,resolved the lack in fracture toughness of the coating of the surface of titanium alloy.Titanium alloy,is a kind of metal with good combination properties and relatively higher potential compared with hull steel metal,so it is used to make the facilites and pipes of ships.But,the surface of titanium alloy very easily forms the oxide film which is with low surface energy and inert,which leads to poor adhension with coatings.this causes the coatings to fall off titanium surface after a long time service and great shorten the lifetime of coatings.Thus,our research obtained a layer of porous oxide film with proper roughness and high surface energy on the TA2 titanium surface which improved the adhension of TA2 titanium alloy with its matching primer,by the study of the process flow and formulation of acid cleaning and oxiding of the surface modifaction of TA2 titanium alloy.The surface coating of the hull,under seawater environment,is often moistened by circulating salt water and insolated in the sunshine.the coating is compressed and swelled over and over,so it is easy to crack and drop off.In order to overcome the effect of the coating of the surface of titanium alloy,developing excellent toughening coating which adopt to alternative operating in and out of seawater.Using the Fourier Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR) to structure analysis and compare for tougheners,and testing the properties of product storage,the proper catalyst used to synthese toughening epoxy ester flexibilizers is choosed;Studying the reaction condition of the synthesis to determine the ideal condition,such as reation temperature,reation time and the amount of the catalyst;Through the mechanical properties(compressive properties and tensile properties) measurements of casting and the analysis of optical microscope photoes of fracture surfaces of tensile samples,investigating the toughening mechanism of flexibilizer;by testing performance(flexibility,impact resistant and adhesion,etc) of film which is preparated with triturated toughener,and combining with the mechanical properties measurements of casting,the optimum amount of toughener is determined.
