Epoxy Asphalt is a kind of road and bridge paving material developed by utilizing the thermosetting property of resin to make up the thermoplasticity of asphalt.It has excellent performance not found in ordinary asphalt such as high strength,good adhesion and strong corrosion resistance.There is great potential for application in pavement applications.However,the thermosetting epoxy asphalt has poor compatibility with the matrix asphalt,and the cured epoxy asphalt is prone to segregation and delamination,and the epoxy resin has high rigidity after curing,and is prone to brittle fracture.Epoxy asphalt materials are still not widely available for large-scale application.Therefore,improving the performance of epoxy asphalt paving materials has significant significance for the development of China's transportation industry.Based on the theory of solubility parameters,this paper selects linear epoxy resin which is similar to the solubility parameter of matrix asphalt and can replace some bisphenol A epoxy resin with linear epoxy resin which can crosslink with curing agent.The effect of different content of linear epoxy resin on the properties of bisphenol A epoxy resin.Partial miscibility of 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether(BDDGE)with 1,6-hexanediol diglycidyl ether(HDDGE)and matrix asphalt,which indicates BDDGE and HDDGE two linear epoxy resins have good compatibility with matrix asphalt.BDDGE and HDDGE two linear epoxy resins can be significantly improved compared to cyclohexane-1,2-dicarboxylic acid diglycidyl ester(184)and polybutadiene epoxy resin(2000#).The elongation at break of bisphenol A epoxy resin,through the test results,it can be found that the two types of linear epoxy resins BDDGE and HDDGE have a significant toughening effect on bisphenol A epoxy resin.With the increase of the content of four linear epoxy resins,the storage modulus(E')of bisphenol A epoxy resin decreased at low temperatures.However,the introduction of two linear epoxy resins,BDDGE and HDDGE,makes the E'reduction effect of bisphenol A epoxy resin at low temperature more obvious,and the T_g reduction effect of bisphenol A epoxy resin is more significant.It can be concluded that the introduction of BDDGE and HDDGE two types of epoxy resins can improve the toughness of bisphenol A epoxy resin at low temperature,which can also explain the bisphenol A containing BDDGE and HDDGE two epoxy resins.Type epoxy resins maintain a high modulus of elasticity over a wider temperature range.It can also be found from the comparison of low temperature toughness experimental data that BDDGE and HDDGE can improve the low temperature toughness of bisphenol A epoxy resin.BDDGE and HDDGE two kinds of linear epoxy resins similar to the matrix asphalt solubility parameters were introduced into the epoxy asphalt system for further study,and the effects of different contents of BDDGE and HDDGE on the performance of epoxy asphalt were studied.BDDGE and HDDGE two linear resins can significantly reduce the viscosity of the epoxy asphalt system during mixing in the viscosity test.The introduction of two linear epoxy resins,BDDGE and HDDGE,can improve the compatibility of epoxy asphalt.The dispersed phase of the asphalt phase in the continuous resin phase can be as low as 9?m.The mechanical properties also showed strong toughening effect of BDDGE and HDDGE two types of epoxy resin.When the amount of BDDGE added reached 20%,the elongation at break of epoxy asphalt could be as high as 590.15%;the amount of HDDGE added was At20%,the epoxy asphalt can have an elongation at break of up to 602%.The test data in the hardness test can also show that after the introduction of BDDGE and HDDGE two kinds of linear epoxy resins,the epoxy asphalt does not show segregation,and the compatibility of the epoxy asphalt can be improved.It was found from the results of dynamic thermomechanical properties that the introduction of BDDGE and HDDGE two types of epoxy resins can reduce the E'of epoxy asphalt at low temperatures,and the T_g is also significantly reduced.Different content of epoxy end group hyperbranched polyester was added into epoxy asphalt,and the effect of epoxy end group hyperbranched polyester on the compatibility and toughness of epoxy asphalt was studied.The addition of the epoxy end group hyperbranched polyester can also form a viscosity reducing effect on the epoxy asphalt,and the viscosity reducing effect can improve the processing toughness of the epoxy asphalt.It was found by fluorescence microscopy that the phase structure of the epoxy asphalt was stably controlled after the introduction of the epoxy-terminated hyperbranched polyester.The elongation at break of the epoxy asphalt is improved with the participation of the epoxy-terminated hyperbranched polyester,and the epoxy asphalt still maintains a high tensile strength.The morphology of the fracture surface of epoxy asphalt was observed by the ultra-depth three-dimensional microscopic system.The fracture surface of the epoxy asphalt with epoxy end group showed typical ductile fracture characteristics,along with the epoxy end.The fracture characteristics are more obvious when the content of the super-branched polyester is increased.Epoxy pitches containing epoxy end groups of hyperbranched polyesters exhibit low E'at low temperatures but exhibit high E'at room temperature,and the tan?of such epoxy pitches is lower than that of pure epoxy pitches.This shows that the addition of epoxy end group hyperbranched polyester can make epoxy asphalt not only have good toughness but also improved resistance to deformation.
